The British government is prepared to move forward with using the entire amount of seized Russia's funds to bolster the Ukrainian defense operations, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a joint statement, the officials of the Britain, the French Republic, and Germany asserted that this coordinated action would increase strain on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and urge Moscow to come to the table.

They added that the decision would be executed in tight collaboration with the America.

British penalties have frozen more than £25bn of Russian resources since Moscow began its comprehensive attack against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, previously, resources sent to Ukraine using Russia's holdings had only been sourced from profits and interest accrued on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, France, and Germany were in agreement in their goal to push forward toward employing the full value of the immobilized Russia's state holdings to halt hostilities.

He added that additional sanctions soon would apply more pressure on the Russian government.

This announcement comes after European Union officials gathered in the Danish capital recently to debate using immobilized Russia's funds for a 140-billion-euro financial aid to the Ukrainian nation.

In the previous month, American leader Donald Trump urged Group of Seven partners to confiscate or otherwise use seized Russian funds, according to reports.

The worth of immobilized Russia's assets in the European Union is calculated to be nearly €211bn.

President Zelensky calls on UK's Sir Keir Starmer to join the weapons procurement program

Russia launched large-scale missile and drone strikes all over Ukraine on recently, leading to electricity outages in significant regions of Kyiv, Kyiv, and eight other regions.

Several persons were killed and a minimum of 20 people were injured in the attack, authorities in Ukraine reported.

In a post on X following the strike, Zelensky wrote that the cynical and calculated attack focused on public and utility structures.

"What is required is not empty words but concrete steps - from the United States, Europe, and the Group of Seven - in providing defense mechanisms and applying sanctions," he wrote.

"All penalty impositions diminishes the Russian war effort," Zelensky wrote, in a different message.

Also on Friday, Zelensky informed media outlets he would encourage Sir Keir to participate in the weapons procurement scheme, under which partner nations buy arms from the United States to provide to Ukraine.

While applauding the UK's consistent assistance for Ukraine, he said it should send a clear signal that it would take part in the program, as well as enforce further measures on Moscow.
