The thrilling 11-inning contest that saw the Dodgers defeat the Toronto Blue Jays by one run drew a total 51M spectators in the United States, Canada, and Japan markets. MLB stated this is the highest-rated World Series Game 7 after the 1991 edition showdown between the Twins and Braves.

In Japan, where the deciding game started at 9 PM local time, it drew 12 million viewers. This came after last Friday’s Game 6 – where Fall Classic Most Valuable Player Yoshinobu Yamamoto gave up one run in six frames – drew over 13 million viewers, making it the highest-rated Fall Classic matchup on a single network in the country.
